June Eileen Pero

June Eileen Pero, 92, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Monday, August 29, 2016, at 6:02 p.m. at St. Catherine's Manor of Washington Court House where she had been a resident since March 31, 2015. She was born May 19, 1924, in Fayette County, Ohio to William Wesley and Clara Mae Morris Montgomery. She was a graduate of Washington High School and attended The Ohio State University. She was a lifelong resident of this community.

Mrs. Pero was a stay-at-home mom who did her own canning and loved taking care of her family. She was a member of the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and taught catechism. She was a member of the Women of St. Colman; the Fayette Co. Farm Bureau; the Connor's Farm Women Club and was a 4-H advisor for over 30 years.

Mrs. Pero was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joseph Pero on February 14, 2008; an infant son, Mark Robert Pero and a son-in-law, Joseph DelTedesco.

She is survived by eight children and their spouses, Terri and Lee Williams of Loveland, CO, Beth DelTedesco of Washington C.H., Francie and Peter Burns of Fort Myers, FL, John and Jannai Pero of Ahwahnee, CA, Marty and Ed Whipps of Pataskala, Susan and Pat Blom of Villa Hills, KY; Dee and Brian Jimenez of Worthington and Kitty and Paul Hedges of Powell, OH; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister, Alice Herrmann of Ruston, LA and two brothers, Barton Montgomery of Washington C.H. and Robert Montgomery of Worthington.

The funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 8, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church by the Rev. Michael Hartge, pastor at the church. Burial will follow in St. Colman Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2016, until time of the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Boulevard, Columbus, Ohio 43229.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
